Cecil Green Park House, UBC

We will get married at Cecil Green Park House at UBC.

Apart from the water view and the combination of casual grass, terrace, and elegant indoor space built in the early 1900s, it seems fitting that we celebrate our wedding here. We both have degrees from UBC (representing a combined 14 years so far, 4 more to go!) and we have spent much time exploring the campus together (sometimes under the guise of delivering samples to Pathology, in the early years...) The food is apparently superb, and since we love to cook and bake this is very important to us!

Cecil Green was also the most beautiful place we could find that is unlikely to be obscured by fog, won't make your shoes muddy, has shelter in case it rains, and is close enough to Vancouver that no one will need to stumble across a highway to a campsite...although we did consider it! Also, we won't have to take a 10-minute golf cart ride to a staged photo location that no one else can see because they are back at the lodge crammed into a cocktail room.

We are very grateful to Clara's parents for hosting our party here - it was Clara's mum's top choice all along.
